ARTCONOMICS - A collaborative initiative between the University of Malaya Economics Society (PEKUMA) and the University of Malaya Art Gallery, Museum of Asian Art, designed to explore the intricate relationship between art and economics. Far beyond a conventional art exhibition, ARTCONOMICS serves as a pioneering platform dedicated to positioning art as a significant economic force, particularly in the realm of investment. The mission is to explore the contemporary relevance of art within the economic landscape while fostering awareness among University of Malaya students and the wider Malaysian public regarding the pivotal role of art in shaping the economic dynamics.

Central to the exhibition is the Contemporary Art Exhibition: The 8th Solo Show of Ali Nurazmal Yusoff, a curated showcase featuring 43 of the artist's artworks spanning from the 1990s to the present day. Curated by Zena Khan from the AFK Collection and Mohd Umair from the University of Malaya Art Gallery, Asian Art Museum, the show aims to provide a thought-provoking experience for all participants, enriching discourse on the intersection of art and economics.
